In my opinion, how good a company is should be measured by their work but also how well they take care of the issues that arise. It sounds like they did take care of it, and that is a good thing. There are body shops that would make that mistake and still not pay for their mistake. Those are the ones that are poor and should be avoided IMO.

Car Crafters has some bad press lately. We send people to Loids Rides, Chris Loid is the man.

Always another side to a story. Body work always takes time and especially if you are working with different vendors and insurance companies. You know they don't keep a bumper for EVERY CAR MADE in Albuquerque. Time is money to a shop like CC. They want the car done just as fast as the customer.+1 to that, it took like 3 weeks to get my Gfs bumper repainted and fitted back on her car there...

I know two good people that do paint/ some body work from " Colors on Parade " they did my car when someone hit me. If you are looking to get redone me or miataman89 can give you info.
It's too bad the owner is a cocksucker, unless they are franchises, but the owner I've met 2x needs to get pushed in front of a train.

the problem with that is, atleast within the Camaro circles, there is one too many stories that they would need their side to.

last winter someone backed into the driverside fender on the supra, not a huge deal, insurance covered it, so we chose carcrafters based on rsw recommendations. the fender itself needed to be repaired from being dented, and the fender and the front bumper needed to be re-painted. took about a week, no problem. we picked the car up on a rainy day so i didnt get a real good look when we drove off. the next day i took a closer look and found that when they had resprayed the bumper the chose not to repair ANY of the rock chips in the old paint. Being that i do my own body repair from time to time i can tell you that repairing rock chips when you already have your paint sanded off is about a 7 minute job. Instead they saw it as "previous damage" and simply painted RIGHT over it. so when you look at the front bumper the chips are now part of the paint. when i took it back to let them know i wasn't happy with this they simply told me they would redo it for 150 bucks. other than that i was SOL.
100% Unacceptable. previous damage or no, if you are going to repaint ANY body surface that surface better be perfect. In all my years i've never heard of someone painting over unrepaired damage. at the very least they could have called me while it was sanded ( Assuming they even sanded it...) and asked me if i would like to have paid to have it repaired.
now a few months later we have a large bubble of paint comming up on the repaired fender. ill be headed back over there soon to have them repair that under warantee.
jims a nice guy, but this is pathetic.

I already knew that, and that exact bumper would be hard to find since it was for a decade old ford. The thing that bothered me was the original bumper could have been repaired IMO instead of sourcing another USED one... The way it sounded to be was that they couldnt figure out for 2 of the 3 weeks what direction to take with the scuffs on the bumper. Fox I agree that there is two sides to every story and being on the other end is a PITA too, but dont tell me you that dont know what do to.Always another side to a story. The owner is a cocksucker, and a asshole from what I hear, but the guys I know are fanchieses or they own the van themselfs. Im pretty sure they have very little to do with the guy your talking about. I would bet they would buy you a beer if you did push that guy in front of a train.
