Turbo V-8 if it's the factory motor (which would be sacrilege to get rid of...)

600hp? Must not be a UGR car...
...and I certainly don't want to mock the myths that define some of you.

What engine is in that thing?

A Tipo F120B, if that's a real LM. It's a 179ci DOHC 32v V8 that's twin turbocharged up the yin-yang. F40 LM's made around ~650 at the crank so 600whp is about right. The 'normal' F40's F120A engines were detuned to 478 to make the car tame enough to be driven by mere mortals. It still had the power and aerodynamics to be the first street car to break the 200mph mark.

Keep in mind that the F40 LM weighs about 2100-2200lbs wet, and was running around in the wild back in the early 90's.

Beefier works versions of the F40 included the F40 LM-GT and F40 LM-GTE, both of which were devised by the same Ferrari tuning shop that built the LM's, and campaigned against the likes of the Nissan R390, Toyota GT-One, and McLaren F1 LM in LeMan's races back in the mid-90's.

The F40 LM-GTE featured an X-trac sequential 6-spd from the Ferrari 333SP, and engine packages ranged from 3.0L to 3.6L and were making close to 1000hp in qualifying trim... in a car that weighed ~1900lbs wet with a sequential gearbox and had 315's up front and 335's on the rear...

600hp? Must not be a UGR car...

It weighs about 2/3rds what a UGR Gallardo weighs - and it was making that power back in 1990. :X

Fun ruiner strikes again.
