Please don't take these times seriously I was mostly doing this to start a FWD Honda challenge within the local Honda community, but decided to time other cars as well.

Keep in mind these that most cars were unaware and probably just enjoying themselves so don't take this too seriously yet

Consider these times invalid until we get an accurate method of acquiring data with driver participation.

From today -

AP1 S2000, suspension, street tires: 1:32.6

I'd be cautious about posting lap times for other people. Unless you time every lap, you could easily miss someone's fastest lap. I'll leave it at that...

I was going to say the same thing--there is no way to tell from the stands whether someone is running their hardest or not... . You have to use a transponder or some sort of data acquisition to get anything valid.

Or miss them entirely...like me. AP2 S2000, street tires: 1:36-1:37 range as I was told by a few spectators.

At this type of event I think its best if you do not know you are being timed. There is a very wide range of track experience among the drivers and we dont need anyone pushing beyond their abilities and end up getting injured.

I understand the objections and concerns. All drivers need to respect their & the cars limitations.

Also Mustangs & 280z's won't be grouped together. Neither will Miata's & Corvettes :)

Unofficial posted times. I'm for it.

But to put things in perspective. One of the most boring thing an EMT Can do is a "Track day standby". Unless that EMT Takes track assignment to spy on other drivers and get in free cause EMT's get paid crap wages!... Sorry got distracted. When racers crash they are either fine OR they need a helicopter. And thank fully it's a rare occurrence for either.

it's the idiots on the street that need a pushing it lecture. A guy I met at work below

As for the guys i talked with, they didn't mind that i was doing this or that what i recorded was not nearly close to their best.

If I remember correctly, the track has a bunch of transponders. A few of us played with them last spring but didn't put in enough time to figure out why the computer system wouldn't pick up the signals.

We'd probably want to discuss adding a timing system to the CCC events with the track managers. Their insurance policies for the CCC events may have rules about timing.

I've not run the ol' beater for a while but I've had lots of stopwatches on the Honda I used to run at SMP.

On fresh 215/45/16 Azenis 615s I could consistently get my Honda Prelude down to upper 1:35s back in the day.

Stock suspension, intake, DC header, exhaust and cams.

When I first started out I was in the 1:44s.

Transponder data would sure be nice too.

I ran a 1:26.49 in my old C5 Z06 with shocks and race tires (using GPS telemetry timing).

My old miata did a best of 1:35.4 with IR lap timer on street tires with suspension and I/H/E. I ran 1:43 (stopwatch) in the 99 miata bone stock with street tires when I first got it.

My ICC Shifter kart ran 1:26.81 with IR lap timer.

If someone want's to create something organized with laptimes, we can sticky it on this forum.

Nice! That time seems about right with what i came up with (using my dash clock, which has a timer). Accurate or not, it's nice to get a ballpark. Thanks!

My best time from many years ago in my Bullitt was 1:39 with moderate suspension mods and sticky tires.

I found an app called speed view and have installed it. I'm not sure it'll do it but it sounds like it will. We'll give it a try on the 4th.

I haven't really gotten timed much in the turbo car. But the previous CCC day I was at a consistent 1:32:5. There is easily 4 more seconds out there.

Traffic will greatly change your times.
