1. People to run the events.
2. SCCA safety stewards.
3. Attendees.
4. Sanctioning body.
Summarized from the email, the only two sanctioning bodies I know of that allow rallyx are the SCCA and NASA. Any thoughts, solutions?

I've talked with the person who nearly hosted the rally-x in Cerillos and he said he'd be willing to put some effort into a future rally-x. I'm not sure what sanctioning organization he used, so I won't speculate. That said, I'm willing to consider other options than just the SCCA. It's what I know, so it's my default. I wouldn't recommend hosting an event without insurance/sanctioning. There are just too many liabilities and assholes out there willing to sue over minor incidents, let alone larger incidents.
If anyone is serious about hosting a rally-x or at least helping, here's a forum with some useful information: Dirty Impreza Forums: Sanctioned Motorsports. Give some of the threads a read through and you'll have an idea of what's involved with hosting a sanctioned event.
Here are some photos to wet your appetite -

Here's an update for anyone who isn't privy to RGRSCCA happenings.
I personally would love to see this and would be amazed if we can't find some great sites in ABQ/SF/etc. I will be doing a 1 day Team ONeil school next month with a friend - would love to put some of that education to work.
Please keep doing Autocross and Rally X in Santa Fe!

We are planning a true Rallycross in October. Not sure on the date yet since we are working on making sure the schedule works for as many participants as possible.
Participants are strongly urged to respond to this thread and volunteers are greatly appreciated!
Can't wait to see you all out there!
Rallycross is one of the topics of discussion for today's SCCA meeting. Hopefully we'll be able to provide everyone with some updates soon.
Do you have a site yet or are you still looking? the NMT Automotive Racing Club ran one last year (hence the pictures), Jake was there. we have some willing participants, and i can go scout any sites around the Socorro area if need be. Keep us posted and I'll advertise the crap out of it!

Bad news: the Santa Fe Mall is no longer available for auto-x. They have a new tenant that will be using the area we typically auto-x in.Please keep doing Autocross and Rally X in Santa Fe!
I haven't been to active about looking for possible sites. Time has been scarce lately...Do you have a site yet or are you still looking? the NMT Automotive Racing Club ran one last year (hence the pictures), Jake was there. we have some willing participants, and i can go scout any sites around the Socorro area if need be. NMT is definitely a potential. I really need to go down there and chat with the school officials about insurance responsibility and the majority of the attendees being non NMT students.
