We are in the preliminary stages of planning a meet in Raton, NM on 23 August for ALL SRT owners and enthusiasts! Don't own a SRT? No problem, come anyway! We will probably have a cruise into Sugarite Park for group pictures at Lake Maloya, and I will probalby be opening El Raton Theatre for either a feature movie, or perhaps a chance to see club videos, video games, or other fun on the big screen! All of this is very preliminary, but should be a fun day. Escape the summer heat, and head to the mountains! OK, I posted this at coSRToc, and will re-post it here for all. Trying to get this pretty well organized. Here are some details as of this afternoon. If you have any ideas or requests, please PM me.

OK, working this one, guys! I am trying to negotiate a group rate into Sugarite Park, and we will see how that goes. Afterwards, we can cruise up Highway 555, which winds 40 miles up into Ted Turner's Vermejo Park. Beautiful views of the mountains, and you may see some deer, elk, turkeys, and even an occassional bear! Very fun driving road. Upon return to Raton, we will go to our theater (El Raton Theatre), where we can watch club videos, see pics taken from the day, and maybe even get a little seat time in on Gran Turismo (with super-awesome driving seat ) Those wanting to stick around will have admission to our feature show that evening, which I think will be X-Files: I Want to Believe. We can order in pizza, and it should be a fun, relaxing time!
