Well, these things didn't even last two full months. I was a test mule for these things, and supposedly they put down an extra 6WHP and 6WTQ. Which, BTW is being highly disputed over on the Nissan Forums, and Enerpulse has yet to do a comparison of NGK's vs. Pulstars on an independant dyno. Anyway...over the last week my Spec has been kinda running like shit. Hesitating, not feeling as torquey etc. etc. Then starting Thursday, had been throwing random O2 codes and such. Well this morning on my way to work...the damn car pretty much died on me and the SES light was flashing crazy. I finally got to work, looked up what a flashing SES light meant on my car and it said "Multiple Misfire". I got off work, came home, pulled the crapstars...I mean pulstars out and here is what they looked like: Notice the last two, which were on cylinders 3 & 4....no electrodes and #4 is cracked. Needless to say, I have my NGK Iridiums back in and she is running like a champ!!! OEM FTW!!!! Cisco C.

same gap as stockers? Looks lean
Spark Plugs usually arent a "mod". 6WHP from a plug change on toyota sounds too good to be true.

wow.... have you let them know about this? No, not yet, they are closed. But I will email these pics to Nathan...aka NMYETI, he is the one who did the testing on my car. same gap as stockers? Looks lean Spark Plugs usually arent a "mod". 6WHP from a plug change on toyota sounds too good to be true. I am running a consistent 13.7 with my SAFC and wideband....eh...maybe a little lean..but it likes it there according to the dyno!! I believe the gap is the same as stockers, i'll have to check with NMYETI, and these were on my Spec (Nissan), not my MR2!! Cisco C.

Holy crap! Glad I saw this....I sent an e-mail to NMYETI to see if he'd be interested in testing a set in my NSX, since a local S2000 supposedly got a lot of HP off of them. I figured...what do I have to lose? Well, I guess I know now.

I think one of the problems is the resistance of the gap is not being accounted for. If I get a chance later tonight or tomorrow I will try and set up an electrical model of what is going on and see if I can answer that question.

This EXACT thing happened to me about 3 weeks ago. I switched to the pulstar plugs, Then one day going home on Paseo I hit full boost and I heard a loud pop!!!!! My car basically died at that point and was sputtering like shit, I crawled all the way back on Paseo to my house. I pulled the spark plugs and Cylinder 3's electrode was missing just like in your picture...
On top of that, when I picked the plugs up, they told me that they were "pre-gapped" and that I could just drop them in. Well this part is my fault because I should have checked the gap, however the spark plug gaps were all different. The four spark plug gaps were as follows: 55, 43, 37 and electrode misisng so I couldnt measure that one.
So three weeks ago I went to speed lab (since they are a vendor for Pullstar) and they just handed me a whole new set of plugs, and they DID pre-gap them appropriately for me. However just yesterday my check engine light came on again, and my car was stuttering at high boost. I pulled the plugs and cylinder's 1 plug electrode was 1/2 missing. all the others seemed fine. I pulled the damn plugs out, replace them with NGK iridium plugs and that's life. I did notice a loss of power going from Pullstar back to NGK... but I can live with that to keep my engine in one piece...
